Dear, Parents, and Well-Wishers,
It is an immense pleasure to welcome parents and well-wishers to the official website of Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School, Ranirbazar, West Tripura. It serves as a digital portal, connecting our vibrant school community with the rest of the world. It provides wealth of information about our school, its values and unique learning opportunities we provide.

Established in 1984, run by the Shishu Niketan Educational Society, this is a premier school recognized by Govt. of Tripura and affiliated to the Tripura Board of Secondary Education. The school society consists of a galaxy of local educationists, elegant parents and eminent social workers who has been patronizing the school. The school provides ‘Holistic Inclusive Education encompassing comprehensive education to nurture the physical, intellectual, psychological, and spiritual development of every student, regardless of their diverse cultural or economic backgrounds.

In its modest pre-primary classes Montessori Method is followed based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. These classrooms and instruction methods are beautifully crafted to meet the deeper understanding of scholastic and co-scholastic areas, social interactions and much more. The highly trained teachers here offer age-appropriate activities to guide the children to discover and explore knowledge and to develop their maximum potential. Extensive assessment is done covering different aspects of the learning and personality development of the child.

In the primary and upper primary level children are offered with opportunities for collaborative intellectual exploration in which the childs interests are supported and guided to provide the development of self-confidence, ien imagination, intellectual independence, self-efficacy, and understanding of their role in their community, culture and in the nature at large.

The school is ideally a working home for adolescents. The young adults are provided with wider frames of reference to provide a context for practical application of academics, to emphasize the development of self- expression, self-reliance, and agility in interpersonal relationships, individual strength, interest and encouragement to explore their world, and to understand and respect the life forms, systems and forces.

Here learning is an enjoyable act where learners feel valued and their voice is heard. The school is a satisfactory place for students to feel secure and the instruction process focuses on their holistic development to enhance physical and mental development in individual and with the peer interactions.

Adequate nutrition, physical exercise and other psycho-social needs are addressed. The students participate in various co-curricular activities viz., music, Dance, Arts, literary activities, drama, yoga, meditation and sports etc. These make learning enjoyable and relate to real life experiences. Adolescents are addressed providing social and emotional support to inculcate positive behavior and to provide life skills essential to cope with situations they encounter in their lives, peers pressure and gender stereotype. Creativity is addressed to students to interact with peers, teachers and older people.

In all levels, the foundation is laid strong and firm to provide the space for children to explore and develop rational thinking that they would imbibe in them and have sufficient knowledge of concepts, language and investigation and validation procedures.
